International Conference on Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP 2014), Sept. 25-28, Munnar

Society of Environmental Science and Allied Sciences (SECAS) organised an International conference on Mass spectrometry ICMS-2013 on 6-9, 2013 in collaboration with Inter University Instrumentation Centre (IUIC) and School of Environmental Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
The main objective of the conference was to discuss the recent developments in diversified fields in Advanced Oxidation Processes. In-situ generation of highly oxidizing species using chemical, photochemical, sonochemical and radiation chemical techniques was the the focus of the discussions. AOP 2014 had plenary talks, invited talks, short presentations from selected participants, particularly from young scientists and poster presentations. About 200 participants were taking part in our conference. The lectures were in the specific areas of advances in photocatalysis, UV/H2O2, Fenton, photo-Fenton, electro-Fenton, sonolysis and ozonolysis in solution state, synergy effects, oxidative biodegradation, radiation chemical reactions leading to the degradation of organic pollutants and finally the fundamental understanding of oxidative degradation by pulse radiolysis studies .
