DST-Purse sponsored two days ‘National workshop on Mass spectrometry’ was conducted at School of Chemical Sciences auditorium on Sept. 5-6, 2013. The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. A.V. George, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, M.G University, on 5th September 2013. The workshop involved lecture classes by experts from within India and abroad on various aspects of MS instrumentation and applications. There was also a demonstration on LC-MS and LC-Q-TOF instrumentation. The resource persons for the programme were Dr. P. G. Shah (Anand Agricultural University), Dr. M. Vairamani (SRM University), Dr. Nagarjuna Nagaraj (Max-Planck-Institut für Biochemie, Germany), Dr. K. P. Madhusudanan (Visiting Scientist, IUIC), Dr. Gopal Vaidyanathan (Waters India Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. Jitendra Kelkar (Shimadzu Analytical (India) Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. Ajit Datar (Shimadzu Analytical (India) Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. K. Mohan (Spinco Biotech Pvt Ltd) and Mr. Vivek Dhyani (Agelent Technologies). About 160 delegates from in and out of the state were participated.
